The Construction Project Management Certificate provides students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to manage construction projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. The program covers all phases of the construction project lifecycle — planning, design coordination, procurement, scheduling, budgeting, quality control, contract administration, and project closeout.
Students develop a strong understanding of project delivery methods, risk management strategies, cost control processes, and the leadership and interpersonal skills required to coordinate diverse teams and stakeholders. The curriculum integrates current industry practices and the practical management tools used by construction project professionals across BC.
The optional practicum gives students direct experience within construction project environments, reinforcing learning through real-world application. Graduates enter the workforce as project managers, project coordinators, and construction managers with general contractors, development companies, property management firms, and construction consultancies.
