What is a Civil Engineering Technician?

To become a civil engineering technician in British Columbia, one typically needs a diploma or degree in civil engineering technology or a related field. British Columbia does not require a specific license or certification for civil engineering technicians.

According to WorkBC, employment of civil engineering technologists and technicians in British Columbia is projected to grow 6.1% from 2020 to 2025, which is slightly faster than the average for all occupations. The median wage for civil engineering technologists and technicians in British Columbia is $33.50 per hour.
