Brighton College Presents: Quick Tips | 5 Ways To Market Yourself

Brighton College’s Quick Tips video series provides some helpful tips and hints for your daily use!

5 Ways To Market Yourself

1. Social Media
Being active on social media is an excellent way to promote yourself online. With LinkedIn, you can build a professional online portfolio, and network with others in your industry. Twitter can keep you up to date on hiring events and job openings. Good social media activity will help boost your online presence for job recruiters.

2. Public Speaking
Whether at an event or in front of the mirror, practice public speaking abilities. When meeting new people who could be future clients, having confident public speaking abilities is a terrific approach to boost confidence.

3. Volunteer Work
Volunteering is a great way to improve your social skills and network with potential employers. Passing out business cards to people you meet is also a good way to expand your social network.

4. Personal Projects
Small at-home enterprises and side ventures can help you prepare for working in a competitive market. The more enthusiastic you are about your work, the more likely you are to stand out from the crowd.

5. Collaboration
Collaboration can be practiced in the workplace, digitally, and in recreational pursuits. Collaborating with others improves your teamwork skills and may even lead to long-term partnerships.
