Quick Tips | 5 Ways To Improve Concentration | Brighton College

Having a hard time focusing while studying? Brighton College has put together a list of useful ideas and recommendations for you to utilize on a daily basis!

5 Ways To Improve Concentration

1. Make a Task List
The easiest way to keep track of your successes are to write them down and schedule them. You’ll discover that you can accomplish a lot in a short period of time with this approach.

2. Get Enough Sleep
Getting a good night’s sleep is one of the best ways to improve your concentration. Most experts recommend getting at least 7-8 hours of sleep per night, as well as sticking to a regular sleeping routine.

3. Take a Walk
To get your blood circulating, take a brisk walk outside or around your office. Once you’re back at work, even a small amount of exercise will help you concentrate better.

4. Locate a Quiet Area
When you’re busy, finding a comfortable quiet place to work can really help you focus. When it comes to concentration, you’ll discover that limiting outside distractions is beneficial.

5. Decrease Your Social Media Use
Social media is an easy way to get distracted. A quick check on TikTok or Facebook can lead down a half hour long rabbit hole, wasting valuable time that you could be using elsewhere. If you can’t put your phone away while studying, try monitoring your usage with an app, or uninstalling one or two time-wasting apps in the meantime.
