However, with Covid-19 restrictions being lifted and society starting to return to “normal,” people are starting to travel and the industry is getting back on track. Hospitality is quickly returning as one of the fastest growing sectors and it continues to provide excellent job opportunities to people all over the world.
As the tourism industry continues to move forward at a fast pace, it has created tremendous job opportunities for people. Today, more people than ever aspire to work in the hospitality sector. With decent wages and satisfying jobs, hospitality has emerged as one of the hottest industries to work in.
While good communication skills are a prerequisite for those who wish to work in the hospitality industry, a course in hotel management can go a long way when it comes to helping a student jumpstart their career in the industry. Typically hospitality programs equip students with the skills necessary to work in the hospitality industry and provide a strong foundation for future growth into supervisory and management positions.
Brighton College has partnered with the Educational Institute of the American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA) to deliver a well-rounded curriculum which gives students initial employment skills with the potential for future management growth. This program focuses on general business management concepts taught in the context of the hospitality industry, and prepares students for areas such as Supervision, Human Resources, Accounting and Sales and Marketing.
