CAD Drafting for Building Certificate

This program provides students how to use high-level computer-aided design techniques and the most updated parametric design approach to create 2-dimensional drawings as well as 3-dimensional models. Major topics also included the use of Revit Architecture to model buildings. In addition, students will prepare building drawings in accordance with the local building code and bylaws.

Students will have the knowledge, skills, and competency to enter this labor force immediately upon graduation. Students after graduation are primarily suitable for employment opportunities in local construction firms, with contractors, engineering and architecture companies. Employment opportunities and further studies may also be pursued in civil engineering, building science, architecture and computer-aided design.
