Vancouver will be quite the lively place this weekend with two unique festivals keeping plenty of people busy enjoying some live music and fresh food.
If you’re a fan of the Kitsilano area, the Khatsahlano music and art festival on West 4th is the place to be this Saturday, July 21st. Stretching across 10 blocks from Burrard St to Macdonald St, West 4th will be blocked off to host free live music performances and food vendors the whole day (12:00PM-8:00PM). Khatsahlano will be hosting
over 40 local live music bands on 10 stages, with music ranging from Punk to Cuban, there’s something for everyone. There will also be street performances and even some standup comedy to enjoy while getting a bite to eat! A full schedule of events and performances for Khatsahlano can be found here.
The Surrey Fusion Festival returns this year for a full weekend of more music, food, and performances from around the world. The festival will host cultural pavilions from over 35 countries displaying their cultural treasures, traditional foods, and small items for sale. There will also be a flag parade, live music performances, dance lessons and cooking demonstrations on 5 stages (11:30 AM-9:00 PM).
