Brighton College is excited to announce the visit of Assistant Professor Rebecca Wilson-Mah from Royal Roads University.
She will be delivering a presentation at our Vancouver Campus on February 19th at 12:00 pm. This event is open to Brighton College Hospitality Management Program students, graduates, and everyone interested in Brighton College’s Hospitality Management Diploma Program. Take a look at the topics below and join us for this afternoon event. Refreshments will be served.
Topics for discussion:
1. Education and Career Paths with Royal Roads University
Brighton Hospitality Program graduates can now transfer courses to Royal Roads University to complete their BA in Global Tourism Management, BA in International Hotel Management and MA in Tourism Management. Get introduced to the programs and learn how to apply.
Note for International Students: Completion of a BA program with Royal Roads University will allow you to apply for a Post-Graduate Work Permit.
2. How to Access the Hidden Job Market
It is reasonable to conclude that over 70% of jobs are filled before they are advertised. So the question is – who gets these jobs and how? Many jobs are filled by internal applicants; these successful candidates are already working for the firm and have established a track record of success. But what happens if you are not an internal applicant? How can you find out about jobs before they are posted? This 30-minute session will share some insights and tools that you can use to access the hidden job market.
Seats for this event are limited! If you would like to attend, please RSVP to Denisa Baltat at d.baltat@brightoncollege.com
