Hello everyone,
Let me introduce myself, my name is Breton White and I am the new Brighton College Student Association Communications and Promotions Director! I recently started in the International Trade and Freight Forwarding program in September.
How did I end up at Brighton College? During my early education my mother inspired me to pursue a career in International Trade. After graduating from high school I began my studies as a BCIT student, and I am now continuing them at Brighton. I am thrilled to be studying here at Brighton as well as taking part in planning exciting events with the Student Association.
So who is Breton White you might ask? Well, I am a native Vancouverite with a deep admiration for our city. When I’m not at school you can usually find me sailing along our beautiful coastline or exploring somewhere up in the mountains. We live in a beautiful place and I love to blog about it! This includes everything from what to do and see in Vancouver, to upcoming local events. My goal is to keep my fellow students ‘in the loop’.
I aim to create a sense of community for the students of Brighton College, and who better to do so than a student herself! This blog is designed to be a look into student life at Brighton.
I vow to bring valuable tips to the table to help you succeed. This includes everything from how to study, to making your commute easier and more comfortable (Stay tuned for my upcoming blog post on transit etiquette).
I promise to keep my posts light and humorous (with a touch of sarcasm). I’m not here to tell you to hit the books, but how to hit them better (metaphorically of course). We all need a little motivation sometimes, myself included. This being said we all have separate skill sets, I’m sorry to say writing isn’t one of mine, so bear with me.
I look forward to sharing my thoughts and tips with you all over the next few months. Please feel free to communicate with the Student Association and myself at bcsa@brightoncollege.com. We would love to hear from you!
Stay tuned for weekly posts.
