Meet Jason Lyn, Architectural Design & Building Technician student who dreams of one day creating his own firm!
A Creative Path
Growing up, Jason’s parents were both artists and teachers. From that moment, Jason knew that he wanted a career that would cater to his creative ideas. As Jason moved to Vancouver, he found the Architectural Design and Building Technician program at Brighton College was the perfect fit for his future goals.
Architectural and Design Training
After enrolling in Brighton, Jason discovered new possibilities with design software such as AutoCAD and Architectural Revit. He believes that these skills have given him a way to bring his ideas to life in a more tangible way. Furthermore, Jason is always thankful to the staff and instructors for their guidance whenever he needs help.
“Ever since high school, this is something I’ve always wanted to do”
Always Inspired and Norman Foster
Jason is constantly inspired by the works of Norman Foster’s designs. He loves Foster’s ability to design unique yet beautiful buildings that also serve as iconic landmarks. In the future, Jason plans to use his skills to one day become a Principal Partner or lead his own firm.
Looking Forward
While balancing his time with work and school, Jason is constantly looking for inspiration. He believes that students looking to follow their dreams need to take their first step. Even if it means stepping out of his or her comfort zone.
