Meet Neil Monteiro, a former Civil Infrastructure Design Technology student who dreams of one day working on superstructures such as the Burj Khalifa!
Roots in Engineering and Architecture
With an engineer for a dad and an architect for a mother, Neil believes it was only natural for him to pursue a career in civil infrastructure.
As someone who grew up loving problem solving and computers, Neil decided to take the next step and apply to Brighton College.
During his enrollment process, he was happy to find that the Civil Infrastructure Design Technology program was his solution to achieving his career goals.
AutoCAD Software and Individual Support
After enrolling in Brighton, Neil found software such as AutoCAD and Architectural Revit allowed him to express his design ideas.
He praised the instructors and coursework for making the material comprehensible and easy to understand. Furthermore, Neil is grateful for the one-on-one instructor time that he’s able to receive thanks to the smaller class sizes.
“I’ve seen a lot during my travels and I’ve always been inspired by tall and massive buildings”
Inspired by Travels
Neil is constantly inspired by the buildings he’s seen from all of his travels.
Growing up in places like Kuwait and Dubai, Neil was inspired by architectural marvels such as the Burj Khalifa or the Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.
Dreaming of one day working on similar buildings, Neil would love to one day create his own vision of an iconic landmark.
