Meet Dawn Madonna Rozario, an Architectural Design & Building Technician program graduate who finished at the top her class.
Deciding on Brighton College
Originally a certified ballet teacher, Madonna planned to establish her own dance studio. Her mother convinced her to enroll in the Office Administration program which she successfully completed in 2015. The program was intended to prepare her with the skills to manage her studio but she learned about how in-demand AutoCAD was and made a life-changing decision. Given her previous positive experience with Brighton College, she chose to enroll in the Architectural Design & Building Technician program and completed it in 2020.
Developing a Passion for Design and Drafting
The AutoCAD 2D and 3D courses made her feel like she was just online with her friends. Madonna is grateful to classmates and instructors who made her feel like it was not studying at all. The building code courses even made her realize that this is what she wanted to do. An assignment about designing her dream house was a turning point.
Career in AutoCAD and Drafting
Currently, Madonna is a junior drafter with Siber Façade Group and training to be a NFRC thermal simulator.
