International Trade Instructor (Blended Program: In-Class and Online)

We are looking for passionate international trade industry professionals to join us as an instructor for our brand new International Trade and Freight Forwarding Blended program.This is an exciting opportunity which provides flexible work hours as the Blended program involves both online and in-class instruction. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to teach part-time on an auxiliary basis (dependent on course availability), and will be prioritized for future teaching opportunities.

E-Learning Coordinator

The E-Learning Coordinator will provide online and academic support to the Dean of Academics while working alongside the academic administration and faculty to ensure that academic and online learning related needs are met.

Work location and work hours:

The ideal candidate will possess the following:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a comparable setting or capacity, within the education sector;
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in curriculum development;
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems, preferably Canvas;

Specific Responsibilities
Administrative Support

Provide general assistance as needed to the Dean of Academics, including but not limited to:

  • Curriculum organization and research support
  • Organization of curriculum binders and other materials
  • Participation in Program Development Committee
  • Organizing instructor files and adding to Database
  • Support with curriculum development
  • Reviewing of school documents such as Student and Faculty Handbooks and other written material
  • Assistance with creation of academic documents, such as review templates
  • Correspondence with external providers such as Canvas support and textbook publishers;
  • Correspond with relevant organizations and institutions on behalf of the Dean of Academics and Brighton College;
  • Take meeting minutes as needed;
  • Schedule appointments and meetings on behalf of the Dean of Academics;
  • Prepare, edit and/or proofread Brighton College promotional materials related to academic programs;
  • Take messages and gate keep for the Dean of Academics as required.
Academic & Online Learning Coordination

Provide general assistance as needed to the Dean of Academics, including but not limited to:

  • Review and propose course delivery related changes to course outlines and curriculum guides for all courses;
  • Provide faculty with insight on curriculum items that are missing, or that require adjustment to ensure student success;
  • Correspond with faculty and staff regarding scheduling and availability for upcoming courses to ensure courses are covered;
  • Assist in the administrative process of transitioning F2F courses to blended delivery;
  • Assist in the preparation of course manuals for related courses;
  • Work directly with Canvas, our chosen Learning Management System;
  • Other duties as required by the Dean of Academics.
