To this date, Vancouver is home to some of the most iconic landmarks with famous architects such Arthur Erickson and Bjarke Ingels cementing their footprints in the city.

Hosting historical events from the World’s Fair in 1986 to the 2010 Vancouver Olympics –  this city is known for some amazing architectural marvels. Everything from the lookout point above Harbour Centre to the SkyTrain you take on your daily commute – each landmark has their own story to tell.

If you’ve ever been curious as to how old the Vancouver Art Gallery is or why Science World is shaped like a dome, then take a dive into some of the facts with a visual exploration of Vancouver’s rich history of architecture:
